Task
To organize a warm, family-oriented, and memorable anniversary for an outstanding individual — an Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, a humanist doctor, and a vibrant personality with a fantastic sense of humor. The goal was to create an elegant evening without standard contests, uniting high-profile guests, colleagues, and a large extended family. The main focus was paying tribute to the guest of honor's Tiflis roots, Armenian and Georgian traditions, and creating the soulful atmosphere of a "celebration of friendship."
Implementation
A conceptual program was developed where the host acted as a modern, refined tamada (toastmaster). The evening was structured around a classic yet deeply personal sequence of toasts (for the guest of honor, parents, siblings, family, and friends). The program seamlessly integrated national dances (Rachuli, Kinto, Somkhuri, Acharuli), live music (IM Project, Dato), and touching personal moments: a blessing by the Archbishop, a musical performance by the guest of honor dedicated to his wife, and a final video montage set to Frank Sinatra.
Special Moments
The final chord of the celebration, marking a perfectly executed evening, was the genuine emotion of the guests. As the birthday cake was brought out, a video from a previous anniversary was broadcast on the screens to the guest of honor's favorite song — My Way by Frank Sinatra. The guests standing in a unified circle, the warm memories on the screens, and the atmosphere of absolute togetherness made this evening truly unforgettable.
